- Organized by the QEM: As part of the French Language course, the QEM office organizes visits
to various cultural locations in Paris once a month. Past excursions have included:
tours of: the towers of the cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris, Orsay
Museum, Musée de l’Orangerie, Pantheon, Louvre Museum, Tokyo Palace,
Cité des Sciences of La Villette, Pompidou Center, Quai Branly Museum,
Rodin Museum, the Arts and Crafts Museum, Museum of Modern Art,
Carnavalet Museum, and the Grand Palais.
- Visits to: the Palace of
Versailles, the Eiffel Tower, the Sacre-Coeur Basilica, the
Montmartre quarter, and a walk along the Haussmann Boulevard.
- Special trips to Giverny and a Paris treasure hunt.
Additionally, we have social events aiming at integrating the Erasmus Mundus
- Organized by the University: The Center of Student Life (Service de la vie étudiante, website in French) is responsible for all cultural activities that are part of the various degree courses. This includes the inter-university orchestra and choir, and the theatre workshop. The Center of Student Life also supports many collective cultural projects with financial aid from the Social Welfare and Student Initiative Development Fund. Similarly, sports facilities are accessible to students.

- Student Discounts: Various museums have free entrance for students (under 26), for EU citizens, or to those who are studying in France. Movie theaters offer discounts as well. Some movie theaters offer a monthly, unlimited movie pass for about 20 Euros/month.
