TRI Reporting Program

Reporting Criteria

If a facility meets all three of the criteria below, it must report to the TRI Program:

  1. Is in a specific industry sector(e.g., manufacturing, mining, electric power generation)
  2. Employs 10 or more full-time equivalent employees
  3. Manufactures or processes uses any EPCRA section 313 chemical in quantities greater than the established threshold in the course of a calendar year

The EPA website TRI Laws and Reporting outline who is required to notify and file reports in accordance with the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).  The EPA has very good online Training Resources available to support compliance with this regulation.
