Welcome to the Bioinspired Robotics and Design Lab at UC San Diego led by Prof. Michael T. Tolley. Our research focuses on borrowing ideas from nature to inspire engineered systems with new capabilities. In particular, we are interested in soft robotics, fabrication by folding, and self-assembly. Please see the Research section for details.
