Dear Parents,

We have been working on letter formation of our first letter group. This week we are working on letters, C, O, A, D, and G. They are grouped this way because their lowercase letters are all formed by starting in the same spot.

A few students have been bringing their Brain Break towels in a 1 gallon bag. Please do not send it in that bag. The kindergarten students cannot put their towel back into the bag and it breaks. Please send them in with an extra large ziploc bag.

Thanks,

Kris Lechman

Dear Parents,

Our class did a scavenger walk for numbers around the school. Please have a conversation with your children about numbers and how we use them. I am sending home a Everyday Math Home Link today. Please take a look at it.

I am also sending back some yellow writing folders. Please be sure to follow the directions below and return them tomorrow.

Lastly, I update our weekly calendar every Monday morning, please scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the updated calendar.

Thanks,

Kris Lechman

Dear Parents,

Each student in Kindergarten has their own writing folder.  Their folders are where they store all of their writing work.  We are sending home the writing folders today to be personalized by each student.  We encourage our students to write about “what they love or what they know a lot about.”

We ask you to help your child decorate their writing folders while reflecting on those ideas.  Please include people, places, or things. Your child can cut out pictures and glue them on or draw on the folders.  Please return the folder on Tuesday, September 25.

Please note that all of the writing folders have three writing assignments in their folder.  You can keep these papers at home and have your child share the story behind their writing.

Thanks,

The Kindergarten Team

Dear Parents,

There is an important notice from the PTA in your child's folder today as well as a notice about Emerson Eagles Soccer.

I will also be sending a test email today at approximately 7:00 pm.  Please do not respond to the email.  Please contact me on Thursday if you did  not receive it.

Thanks,

Kris Lechman
