Hello, my name is John Stroffolino. Currently I am the Department Chair for Health, Physical Education, and Health Technology and an Associate Professor at Germanna Community College.

As department chair, some of the areas I oversee are the Pharmacy Technician Career Studies Certificate Program and the Personal Training Career Studies Certificate Program. We are currently in the process of exploring other areas of need to grow in our community.

My experiences are varied; I have experience in commercial, corporate, educational, and hospital-based fitness facilities. As a fitness professional, I am certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.). I am certified as both an American Heart Association and American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Instructor.

I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with concentrations in Exercise Physiology and Gerontology from East Stroudsburg University. While in attendance I was a four-year member and captain of the Track and Field Team. The University of Delaware was my next step. It was here that I obtained my Master of Science degree in Physical Education with a focus in Exercise Physiology. I have also taken additional graduate classes at the University of Virginia and have an Ed.D. in Kinesiology from the the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
