Welcome to the DBA Club!!!

Mission Statement

A community service club that provides opportunities for students to foster friendships while serving others.  We promote awareness and understanding for people of all abilities.

Community Service Projects
Through community service projects, we build relationships with each other and learn from/about each other.

    • During the fall semesters, we have an annual Pumpkin Painting Contest on campus and WinterFest (a winter celebration on campus for BRCC students, faculty and staff as well as their family and friends).  Check out the pictures using the Photo Albums link on the left side of this screen from some of our previous events.
    • In the spring, we plan a club trip (in the past we've gone to places like the Baltimore Aquarium, Washington Zoo, Horizons Horseback, Safari Park, Luray Caverns, etc.).  This trip is free for club members.
Who should join?
This club is great for students who are pursuing a career in which they will work with individuals with special needs (Nursing, Social Work, Teachers, Human Services, etc.)  It is also perfect for students who simply have a passion or want to learn more about individuals with special needs.

We sell popcorn throughout the semester for fundraising purposes.  We have our own mobile popcorn popper that makes movie theater popcorn!  Very tasty and s popular snack on campus.

The DBA Club Officers share the office title with another club member.  For example, we have two "Co-Presidents."  This enables the officers to help each other when needed and to share the responsibilities of the office.  For more information on club office descriptions, see the Documents link on the left side of this screen.
