For our project we will be designing and manufacturing a deer stand for use by paraplegic persons. Our goal is to make a working model that we will be able to test on ourselves. Our design will be able to be mounted on a trailer so it will be a mobile design.
Finally Done!!!We are proud to say that we are finally done with our project. We finished up everything with the stand today, and are finalizing our presentation. We are still working on our report, but that should not take long to complete once we have finished our presentation at the Barnwell Mechanical Engineering Design Competition on Friday. We would like to give special thanks first and foremost to CREST and Mike Shipp for funding our project and making this possible. We would also like to thank Wintech for supplying materials at cost and motivation for supplying the winch, many other materials, and allowing us to use their facilities to produce our prototype.

Project UpdateIt has been a while since we have updated our website, but we have been hard at work on our prototype. With the senior design competition rapidly approaching, we have all but completed our prototype. Other than cosmetics such as painting the prototype and adding a gun door, we are finished. We have officially tested our prototype ten times and it worked to perfection. Times for lifting the stand ranged from 75 seconds to 240 seconds. The faster times were when we were fresh and not worn out. We present our Prototype Construction/Test Results today to our class. We will be updating the website again soon with final production pictures.
