How do I apply to be a RiSE Scholar?

The RiSE application is now completely online!  Make sure you read through everything before submitting. Forms cannot be saved, so you will have to plan to fill it out in one sitting.

Who is eligible for RiSE?

RiSE is open to EdCC students studying to earn an Associate’s degree or transfer in a STEM field who have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Participants must also be citizens or permanent residents of the US. Running Start students are eligible.
The following are considered STEM fields for the purposes of the RiSE Grant:
  • biology
  • chemistry
  • computer science
  • computer information systems
  • engineering
  • engineering technology
  • environmental science
  • geology
  • mathematics
  • physics
