My name is Patti Pollardo, and I am a Program Specialist/GED Examiner in the Testing Center as well as the Chief Job Rep for the classified union. It is truly a very rewarding job! We sometimes refer to ourselves as the “front liners”, as we are the beginning of a student’s process here at our college. I have been an employee at Edmonds Community College for 18 years.
Our college is very diverse in its programs and class offerings. It is very exciting to watch our college grow and to watch the successes of our students every day. This is a place where every employee on campus works together as one HUGE TEAM to help every student be successful in achieving their academic goals. It is very meaningful to work with such dedicated employees.
So my other “hat” at the college is the Chief Job Rep for our classified employees. We are a bargaining unit represented by Washington Public Employees Association/United Food and Commercial Workers Local 365. I am available, along with our other Job Reps, to work together with our college administration and employees to be certain our member’s rights are upheld in accordance with our negotiated contract. Our relationship is one of respect, no matter how “bumpy” the ride might seem at times. We welcome everyone here and hope that you find it rewarding to be a part of Edmonds Community College. TEAM EDCC is NUMBER ONE!
