Update: As of 2014, I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at the University at Buffalo. To learn about my current research, please visit my website at UB.

This website is defunct and will not be updated.

My research focuses on the social and spatial effects of the internet. I am particularly interested in gendered divisions of user-generated geographic data and the impacts of male dominance on spatial data repositories. Through understanding divisions and exclusion in digital content production and consumption from the household level to the global scale the imbalances in Web 2.0 are increasingly visible.

In July 2012, I will be leaving the University of Kentucky for a position at Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA.
