In 2004, the University of Arizona Department of Chemical Engineering was awarded an OXE charter, officially inaugurating the club as part of the national organization.  Since then, the Beta Chi Chapter at the University of Arizona has experienced incredible growth, initiating a multitude of service-based activities within the department and expanding camaraderie amongst undergraduate students. As an active member of OXE one will participate in tutoring underclassmen in chemistry, physics, mathematics and chemical engineering, volunteering throughout the Tucson community, and attending a multitude of socials and events so that one can get to know your fellow chemical engineers.

In order to be eligible for an OXE invitation you must have completely at least 3 units of chemical engineering course work, juniors: either be at the top 25% of their class or having a GPA > 3.25/4.00, and for seniors: either be at the top 33% of their class or having a GPA > 3.00/4.00.
