Over the last 18 months, we have offered six town hall-style meetings in order to connect with our District 205 community, attended by more than 500 individuals. In addition to that, there was opportunity for input through focus group meetings offered in late October at each of our three middle schools, attended by 121 people, for a total of 754.

This fall, via the use of an interactive e-tool, the Focus 205/ Thoughtexchange survey was completed. Over 1,500 parents and community members shared more than 2,400 thoughts, weighing in on a variety of topics during a very successful two-step process. (Findings are posted at

That’s approximately 2,254 points of contact from our community members who have in some way, shape, or form, participated in this process - which is statistically significant for the population of District 205's attendance area.
