I am available before school and during periods 1, 3, and 5. It's usually best to let me know ahead of time to ensure that I can meet with you. I am always happy to help! Should I be unavailable, please stop by the Math Lab.
The Math Lab (A263) is staffed with math teachers from 6:55 - 4:15, all willing to help you! Don't hesitate to ask one of them for help if I am unavailable.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of Aurora High School (Ohio), 1996
- Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education - Mathematics Education, 2000, University of Kentucky
- Master of Arts in Education, 2001, University of Kentucky
- I've been teaching at York since 2001 - Go DUKES!
A little about me:
- When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children.
- Our first baby is a Golden-Lab mix named Haile (named after the running legend Haile Gebrselassie).
- I love being active outside and want to explore as many National Parks as I can.
- I have a competitive spirit and don't like losing: whether its playing Uno, Tick-Tac-Toe, or Croquet.
- I ran on the Cross Country and Track teams at the University of Kentucky
- Prior to having my kids, I was competitive in the sport of triathlon racing triathlons and represented Illinois at the "Best of the US" and USA in several Age-Group Team World Championships.
