 Three "Eliza Libraries" Open!!!

With the help of Eagle Scout candidate, Scott Draper, three Eliza Libraries opened on July 25, 2008.  The libraries were placed in participating Reach Out and Read Utah Community Health Centers in Salt Lake City.

Scott was a recipient of a $500 grant through the National Education Association's Youth Leaders for Literacy Contest, part of America's Global Youth Service Days, April 25-27, 2008.

Scott used his grant money to buy some much needed child-sized chairs, tables, bookcases and rugs, along with books both in English and Spanish for Eliza's Library.  The goal of the project is to further promote literacy during doctor visits- part of the Reach Out and Read national model.

Utah Community Health Centers benefitting from this project include:

Central City CHC             Oquirrh View CHC           Steven D. Ratcliffe CHC

 THANK YOU SCOTT!!!
