Committees and Task Forces



Synod committees and their descriptions are listed in Chapter 11 of the synod's governing documents. Task forces may be formed to deal with a specific issue or as a preliminary step prior to becoming a regular committee. The process to create a new committee / task force may be started by completing the "Request New Committee/TF" form available in the "Useful Links" box on this page (to the left).

Committee / Task Force Chairpersons: Information helpful to committee and task force chairpersons has been compiled into a Frequently Asked Questions document which addresses issues such as how to access approved funding, how and when to send reports to the Synod Council, and who to contact for more information. You are welcome to use this template for your reports.

Web Pages: Committees and Task Forces are encouraged to create and administer their own web pages, which can be accessed through an external link from the Synod website. See the synod web policy for more information.
