What is the Six Day War?

Six Day War - (In Hebrew - Mil'hement sheshet Hayamim). A war between

Israel and Egypt, Jordan and Syria that began on June 5, 1967 and ended on

June 10 1967. In the war, Israel occupied the Sinai Peninsula, the Gaza Strip,

the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights.

Jerusalem Day is a national holiday that is associated with the celebration of the end of the Six Day war.


Jerusalem day is the day when Isaeli soilders went and liberated Jerusalem. 


Since Jerusalem so so importent to the jewish pepole,they declare this day a national holiday.

Flag Dance –Some neberhooes in israel so thare love for this holiday with flag dancing. As you can see in the pictures above, that the pepole in the pictures are dancing. A very popular place to dance is by the Kotel.
