I grew up in the Boston area and lived there until I attended Colby College in Waterville, ME. In college I studied anthropology and spent a semester in the Indian Himalaya where I became fluent in Nepali.
I began guiding in college on the unique sea cliffs of ME and on ice in NH. After graduating I took to the highway and drove from ME to the big mountains and glaciers of WA. Now, I spend my summers there and my winters in lovely Ouray, CO guiding in the famous ice park. I am currently working towards becoming a certified guide through the American Mountain Guides Association. I live, work, and play in the mountains.
I consider it a privilege to facilitate mountain adventures. I am committed to providing the highest quality experience tailored to individuals or groups while at the same time meeting the highest standards for safety. Due to the guiding permit systems in the United States, I work through companies who hold commercial use permits in the public lands in which I work. For liability reasons all payments must be made to these companies.
