張嘉展教授於1995年自國立交通大學電信工程學系取得學士學位,並於2000與2003年在加州大學戴維斯分校(University of California at Davis)電機與電腦工程學系分別取得碩士與博士學位,師承Prof. N. C. Luhmann, Jr.。目前服務於電機工程系,亦為通訊工程學系之合聘教授。她曾於1995-1997年服務於國立交通大學電子工程系擔任全職助教,在2017-2018期間至美國佛羅里達大學(University of Florida)擔任訪問學者。
張教授至今已發表超過80篇學術論文、兩項美國/台灣專利、並參與五本專業書籍的撰寫(三本原文書,兩本中文書)。 張教授主要研究領域涵跨微波與毫米波電路設計及系統應用設計。電路設計部分著重於晶片天線、陣列天線、波束合成技術、CMOS-MEMS 可重置電路設計。系統部分除持續開發新一代的天線量測系統,另一研究重心專注於開發微波雷達系統在生醫感測及精密定位的應用,研究成果獲邀至2014 IMS, 2015 IMS, 2021 IMS 擔任workshop講者。
張教授就學期間曾於2003年國際電漿科學會議(International Conference on Plasma Science, ICOPS)中獲得IEEE Student Travel Grant Award 獎助。任教後於2014年獲科技部優秀年輕學者研究計畫獎助、2016獲科技部國外短期研究獎助。在中正大學校內, 張教授於2010年獲頒教學優良獎 ,2011年獲工學院頒發青年學者獎。在研究指導方面,學生們亦獲國內/國際的論文及設計大獎,包含多次CIC年度優良晶片設計獎項、旺宏金矽獎獎項(2010設計組大賞及最佳創意獎、2012應用組優勝、2014設計組銅牌、2019應用組銅牌)。國際部分曾獲得2010 RWS學生最佳論文獎第二名,自2008年起學生屢獲國際會議IMS之學生設計競賽獎項。
張教授於2010-2012擔任IEEE MTT-S 台南分會 (Tainan Chapter) 的副主席, 目前接任2021-2022 主席。並數次參與國際會議擔任Technical Program Committee,包含 2016 International Women in Engineering Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIECON-ECE)擔任Track Chair,2020-2022 International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 擔任 TPRC, 於2009年起持續擔任 Radio and Wireless Symposium (RWS)的Technical Program Committee。
張教授於2020年 加入IEEE MTT Technical-Committees (TC-28 Biological Effects and Medical Applications), 2022年獲台灣電磁聯盟邀請擔任該年度傑出講座, 目前張教授亦擔任國際期刊 IEEE Sensors Letters 以及 IEEE Microwave Magazine 的副編輯.
張教授擁有美國業餘無線電使用執照(呼號: KN4IIO)及靈氣大師階證書。
Chia-Chan Chang is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at National Chung-Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan, where she has been a faculty member since 2004. She also holds a joint appointment with the Dept. of Communications Engineering. Chia-Chan received a B.S. from National Chiao-Tung University (Hsinchu, Taiwan) in 1995, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California at Davis (Davis, CA, USA) in 2001 and 2003, respectively. From 1995 to 1997 she worked at National Chiao-Tung University as a full-time teaching assistant. During 2017-2018 she was a visiting scholar at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL, USA).
Chia-Chan has published over 80 peer-reviewed research papers and has co-authored in five books (three in English and two in Chinese). She holds two USA patents deriving from her research. Her research interests span both circuit designs and system applications. In the circuit arena, the study includes antenna designs, array beamforming technologies, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and reconfigurable CMOS-MEMS circuits. In the system arena, she has focused on the development of radar systems, particularly in bio-sensing and positioning. Chia-Chan was invited to give the workshop talks on her radar research in 2014 IMS, 2015 IMS, and 2021 IMS.
Chia-Chan received the 2014 Excellent Young Researcher Grant Award and the 2016 Visiting Scholar Fellowship Award from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan. She also received the 2010 Outstanding Teaching Award (five recipients annually) and the 2011 Outstanding Young Faculty Award of the College of Engineering (one recipient annually) from National Chung-Cheng University, Taiwan. The students under her supervision had won numerous awards in national and international competitions, including the 2nd Prize of Best Student Paper in 2010 RWS, and series-winning in IMS student design competitions since 2008.
Chia-Chan served as vice-chair of IEEE MTT Tainan Chapter from 2010 to 2012, and the chair from 2021 to 2022. She served as Track Chair in 2016 International Women in Engineering Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (WIECON-ECE) and TPC member in numerous conferences, including Radio and Wireless Symposium (RWS) (since 2009~), 2016 RFIT, and 2020-2022 International Microwave Symposium (IMS). Chia-Chan became a member of IEEE MTT-S Technical Committees (TC-28 Biological Effects and Medical Applications) since 2020. She has been invited to serve as the 2022 Distinguished Lecturer for Taiwan Electromagnetic Industry-Academia Consortium. Currently, she also serves as Associate Editor of IEEE Sensors Letters and IEEE Microwave Magazine.
Chia-Chan enjoys playing (poorly) cello and DIY decorating her house. The endless weekend projects drive her husband (Prof. Tsung-Heng Tsai) nuts. She loves to travel and is very good at finding the hidden gems during her trips. Chia-Chan holds U.S. Amateur Radio License (Call sign : KN4IIO) and Reiki Master certification.
