A website for students

This page is a dedicated resource for students studying National 4 & 5 Physics in East Lothian
Here you will find useful notes, test questions, links and videos that will help revision for the new National 4 & 5 course.

Dynamics
In this section of the course you will learn about the physics involved in the motion of objects. Investigate many aspects of motion and learn how to describe it. The section covers everything from trolleys down ramps to projectiles being fired from a cannon.

Electricity
In this section of the course you will learn about the how electricity in everyday situations actually works. This section covers everything from the simplest of particles the electron to the power generation used to light our homes.

Energy
In this section of the course you will learn about the fundamental laws of conservation of energy. The fact that energy cannot be created or destroyed helps to explain a vast amount of phenomenon that we witness in the universe. This section covers various types of energy from Kinetic and Potential through to Heat.

Radiation
In this section of the course you will learn all about the do's and don'ts of dealing with radiation. This section covers everything from where radiation comes from to the uses of radiation in everyday life.

Space
In this section of the course you will learn about some of the mysteries of space. Nearly 14 billion years will be condensed into a matter of weeks. This section will cover everything from the birth of the universe to space exploration and the search for habitable planets.

Waves
In this section of the course you will learn about the wonders of waves. Waves are found in many everyday situations you might not realise. This section will cover everything from simple wave properties to sound and light properties.
