Reading Advocacy Events Calendar:

  • "Reading with your Child" Fair- Tuesday, June 6th at 6:30 - 7:30 in Madrona Library.  Come join Madrona primary team, librarians, and MIT for an exciting evening focused on promoting reading culture. Highlights include a resource table featuring handouts and the opportunity to sign up for a public library card. There will be a guest presentation from Sno-Isle Librarian, Sarah Zabel, of Lynnwood branch. Save the date for this engaging literacy event and the opportunity to connect with your outstanding literacy advocates! Thank you Jessica Brady and MIT for initiating this community event.

  • Book Giveaway - Last full week of school library is offering give away books that have been donated, for this event, by families and staff. Team Book Giveaway (Ms. Galbraith, Felix Jones, and Chino Shaver) have been working hard to prep theses gently-used books. Currently, we have 743 books to offer students during the last full week of school. This is something to celebrate for sure!

  • Visiting Sno-Isle Librarian - Edith Farrar, Edmonds Librarian, is coming to Madrona on Thursday, June 22nd for a special story reading gathering with our youngest of readers in preschool and kindergarten. She will be here during our school day and we are so excited to welcome her back.
