Welcome to Edgewater Park Township School District Community!
EP is excited to announce a new partnership with The Learning Experience (TLE) in Edgewater Park. With Mosaic Early Learning Center and The Learning Experience, we are able to provide a quality and free Preschool program. Over the years we received an overwhelming number of applicants and have partnered with both schools to increase the number of Preschools students. This year, we will continue our live virtual lottery for Magowan Elementary and The Learning Experience. Mosaic takes students on a 1st come, 1st serve basis. All families are encouraged to apply to Mosaic but enrollment is based on income eligibility. EP classrooms at TLE will follow the same school calendar, curriculum, and requirements as the classrooms at Magowan. The center will offer before and after care at comparable rates to Magowan's before and after care. TLE will also offer child care for students in EP classes on days EP schools are closed. Enrollment for Magowan and The Learning Experience will be determined by a lottery.
Virtual Lottery
We will hold a live virtual lottery on March 27, 2026 at 12pm via YOUTUBE. All completed registered applicants will receive a number and link to the lottery via email. To be eligible for the lottery, you must have a completed registration with all documentation submitted. There will be separate lotteries for 3 and 4 year old students, parents/guardians can select which school they prefer. When a number is called, that family will be given their 1st choice, until that location is filled.
Attendance Policy
By entering the lottery and accepting our enrollment, you agree to the following attendance statement:
School enrollment is not mandatory under age 6. However, once enrolled all students must follow the district attendance policy (5200: Attendance (M)). Regular school attendance is essential to a child's learning and social emotional development. Excessive absences and tardiness disrupt the learning process for your child and others as well as the teachers’ lessons. The District is responsible for limiting the number of students who are chronically absent. The State of NJ considers all students who are absent for 10% or more of the school year to be Chronically Absent. Students ages 5 and under with truant matters cannot be taken to court. However, students ages 5 and under with truant matters may be dropped from the roster. For cumulative unexcused absences of 10 or more, your child may be dropped from the roster. Dropping a student is neither expulsion or punitive.
The district will make every effort to work with parents to support their child's attendance in school.
