Extended Day Care (EDC) Services

EDC Registration for the 2026/27 school year is OPEN! 

Online registration for the Extended Day Care Program (EDC) is open at this time, on a first-come, first-served basis, to all Edgewater Park resident students attending Magowan School (3-year-old Pre K through grade 4) and Ridgway School (grade 5-8). The nonrefundable registration fee for the 2026/27 school year is $60.00 per family and must be submitted at the time of registration in order to reserve a spot for your child in the program.

EDC is managed by the Lumberton Township School District, in partnership with EPTSD. The EDC Program provides safe, affordable, and convenient before/after school child care. EDC is held at the Magowan School; Ridgway students will be bused to/from EDC (by EPTSD.)  Mrs. Diane Solan serves as the EDC Coordinator and Mrs. Jennifer Grimm is the EDC Secretary – their contact information can be found at the bottom of this page.

While at EDC, children are offered a fun and relaxed atmosphere with opportunities for many different activities, including games, crafts, athletics, and homework. All activities are conducted and monitored by a professional and caring staff. All students must be fully toilet-trained to attend EDC; 3-year-old students are not eligible for PM EDC on half-days, due to the length of the day.

EDC will operate following the Edgewater Park School District calendar, providing both morning (AM) and afternoon (PM) EDC on all school days with the exception of PM EDC on the following half days (AM EDC will be offered on these dates): 

• Wed., 9/2/2026 (first day of school); 

• half-days prior to school holidays (Wed., 11/25/26, Wed., 12/23/26, Thurs., 3/25/27); and, 

• the last day of school (Wed., 6/16/27.) 

The program is available beginning at 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday when school is in session and after early dismissal (and at 9:00 a.m. on delayed-opening school days.) On regular school days, EDC closes at 6:00 p.m. EDC is closed on extended holidays, full snow days or early dismissal due to inclement weather. (In the case of early dismissal,students must be picked up no later than two hours after school closing time in order for parents to incur no late charges.)

EDC is funded through parental tuition. Tuition payments are made one full week in advance (each Wednesday) and late scheduling fees do apply when this deadline is missed ($5 per day/family.) Parents are required to register their child(ren) annually/each school year.  EDC is unable to accept subsidized tuition; however, discounted tuition rates are offered to those families that are eligible for free/reduced school meals, as determined and authorized by the school district each year.  If your family is determined eligible for discount meals, please complete the Reduced Tuition Form below and return to the EDC Office via email.  Hours and rates are:
