• Baseball vs. Algonac Changes Due to field and weather conditions, the Varsity Baseball DH at Algonac has been moved from Saturday to Thursday, March 26th at 4pm. The JV DH has been cancelled and will not be made up.

  • Congratulations to All-State Bowler Alyssa Crampton!!! Alyssa placed 6th at MHSAA state tournament on Saturday in Jackson.   She qualified in 3rd  place after 6 game total of 1171.  She averaged 195 per game. After qualifying they take top 16 and bowl each other. She won in the first round putting her in the quarter final where she lost to the girl who eventually won the tournament. She came home with a top 8 medal making MC PROUD.

  • Pay to Participate Goes to E-Funds Parents of MCHS Student-Athletes,We are now accepting pay-to-participate payments through E-funds, connected to your Skyward Parent and Family Access. If you have a son or daughter that will be playing a spring sport and has not already played (and paid for) a fall or winter sport then you will need to follow the attached instructions on how to make your payment. The system runs very similar to that of food service, so if you are familiar with that it should be a breeze.

  • Activity Cancellations 3/3/15 Due to weather and road conditions all activities and practices have been canceled. Please notify your participants that they should not come up to the school. This includes all scheduled and voluntary activities.The exception to this is the varsity girls basketball practice as they have their district game tomorrow night.

  • 3/25 Soccer: MCHS 4 - 0 WWT The girls soccer team improved their record to 3 wins and 0 losses with a 4-0 victory over Warren Woods Tower. Scoring for the Mariners were Alexiss Woodard, Olivia Viney (2), and Tori Goulette. Earning her third straight clean sheet was goalkeeper Ashley Beattie.

  • 3/23 Soccer: MCHS 4 - 0 Richmond The girls soccer team moved to 2-0 on the young season with a 4 - 0 victory over the Richmond Blue Devils in frigid temperatures last night. Taelor Frank scored 1 goal and had 2 assists, Emilie Andrews scored 1 goal and collected 1 assist, while Sarah Borunda and Olivia Viney each scored 1 goal. Jensen Houston added one assist. Ashley Beattie made 1 save for the shutout in goal. Sydnee Frank and Jessica Darga also played very well. The Mariners return to action on Wednesday at home against Warren Woods Tower.

  • 3/18 Soccer: MCHS 3 - 0 Algonac The girls soccer team opened the 2015 season with a 3-0 victory against Algonac. Olivia Viney had a goal and an assist while Alexiss Woodard and Sarah Borunda each scored one goal. Jensen Houston added an assist. Ashley Beattie picked up the shutout in goal not having to make a save. Jessica Darga and Emilie Andrews also played well for the Mariners. The soccer team returns to action on Monday when they play Richmond at home at 5:00.

  • 3/4 VG Basketball: MCHS 25 - 39 Lutheran North Varsity Girls Basketball ended their season with a district loss 39-25. Desaray DeSnyder led the team with 10 points followed by Karyssa Austin with 8 points and 4 rebounds. Natalie Tipton added 2 points, 4 rebounds, and Kirstyn Austin chipped in with 3 points and 3 rebounds. Coach Austin would like to thank the team for a positive season ending 12-8.

  • Student-Athlete of the Week: 3/1-3/5 Congratulations to Michael DeVlaminck, the MCHS Student-Athlete of the Week!!!Academic:Michael is a junior who has earned all A's and is a great role model for our swim team.Athletic:Michael is a team Captain who has consistently contributed to our winning record in both his individual events and on his relay teams. Michael swims the 200 YD Medley Relay, the 200 YD IM, The 100 YD Butterfly and the 400 Freestyle Relay.

  • Student-Athlete of the Week: 3/1-3/5 Congratulations to Lauren Tomasek, the Student Athlete of the Week!!!Academic:Lauren is as passionate about her academics as she is about her basketball. She works equally hard at both, which has allowed her to achieve a 3.7 GPA as well as become a key player on the J.V. basketball team. Athletic:Lauren is a great player and a terrific role model for her teammates because of her outstanding work ethic. She never rests when she is on the floor. She has a very good understanding of the game, and her mental and physical toughness make her a fierce competitor.

  • Student-Athlete of the Week: 2/2-2/6 Congratulations to Varsity Boys Basketball player Cole Avers, the Student-Athlete of the Week!!!Academic:Cole is a great student receiving all A's and B's in his classes and a positive role model to everyone.Athletic:Cole is a senior guard on the Mariner Varsity Basketball team, and plays a huge role for the Mariners. He is a leader on and off the floor, and is very coachable. Cole works hard during games and practice, and through that effort others around him push to match his play.
