• Pay to Participate Goes to E-Funds Parents of MCHS Student-Athletes,We are now accepting pay-to-participate payments through E-funds, connected to your Skyward Parent and Family Access. If you have a son or daughter that will be playing a spring sport and has not already played (and paid for) a fall or winter sport then you will need to follow the attached instructions on how to make your payment. The system runs very similar to that of food service, so if you are familiar with that it should be a breeze.

  • Activity Cancellations 3/3/15 Due to weather and road conditions all activities and practices have been canceled. Please notify your participants that they should not come up to the school. This includes all scheduled and voluntary activities.The exception to this is the varsity girls basketball practice as they have their district game tomorrow night.

  • Congratulations to Coach Tony Scarcelli Marine City High School would like to send out a big congratulations to retired Football Coach Tony Scarcelli. Tony has been selected to enter into the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) Hall of Fame. The election ceremony will take place on Saturday, March 28th at 5:30 at the Sheraton Hotel in Ann Arbor. Congratulations Coach Scarcelli!

  • 3/2 VB Basketball: MCHS 51 - 82 Lakeshore The Mariners lost last night to Lake Shore 82-51. We came out to a hot start with a 14-5 run, but their pressure created a lot of turnovers. Leading scorer for the game was Will Delisle with 21. Cole Avers added 11, William Patsalis had 8, and Robert Mazzone had 6. The Mariners will host Clintondale next week Monday to start District play.

  • 2/27-2/28 Boys Swim Divisional at Sterling Heights The boys swim team finished second in the division by a score of 237 to 255 to winner Lakeview.

  • 2/27-2/28 Bowling Regional Both girls and boys placed 10th for team events.   Individuals Alyssa Crampton placed 7th at regionals and is bowling on March 7 at States in Jackson.   Boys: Matt Koza placed 18th.   • 2/27 VB Basketball: MCHS 36 - 47 Sterling Heights The Mariners played hard in the 4th quarter to cut a 14 point deficit to 6, but it was too little too late as Sterling Heights came away with the win. Leading all scorers was Cole Avers with 20. Will Delisle added 8, William Patsalis had 6 and Jake DeWilde had 2.

  • 2/27 JVB Basketball: MCHS 51 - 52 Sterling Heights In a tough game the Mariners started out on an 18-5 first quarter with some great shooting from Cole Sobol. Sterling Heights was able to weather the storm, and come back to win the game in overtime 52-51. There was a trio of leading scorers for the Mariners with Ryan Sommers, Cole Sobol, and Ray Forest all scoring 14 points.

  • Student-Athlete of the Week: 3/1-3/5 Congratulations to Michael DeVlaminck, the MCHS Student-Athlete of the Week!!!Academic:Michael is a junior who has earned all A's and is a great role model for our swim team.Athletic:Michael is a team Captain who has consistently contributed to our winning record in both his individual events and on his relay teams. Michael swims the 200 YD Medley Relay, the 200 YD IM, The 100 YD Butterfly and the 400 Freestyle Relay.

  • Student-Athlete of the Week: 3/1-3/5 Congratulations to Lauren Tomasek, the Student Athlete of the Week!!!Academic:Lauren is as passionate about her academics as she is about her basketball. She works equally hard at both, which has allowed her to achieve a 3.7 GPA as well as become a key player on the J.V. basketball team. Athletic:Lauren is a great player and a terrific role model for her teammates because of her outstanding work ethic. She never rests when she is on the floor. She has a very good understanding of the game, and her mental and physical toughness make her a fierce competitor.

  • Student-Athlete of the Week: 2/2-2/6 Congratulations to Varsity Boys Basketball player Cole Avers, the Student-Athlete of the Week!!!Academic:Cole is a great student receiving all A's and B's in his classes and a positive role model to everyone.Athletic:Cole is a senior guard on the Mariner Varsity Basketball team, and plays a huge role for the Mariners. He is a leader on and off the floor, and is very coachable. Cole works hard during games and practice, and through that effort others around him push to match his play.
