  • 6/7 Soccer Regional: MCHS 0 - 8 Flint Powers The girls soccer team concluded their season last night in a regional semi-final defeat to #1 ranked Flint Powers Catholic. Playing the game of her career was Ashley Beattie with 14 saves in goal. Coach Ming would like to congratulate all of the players on a fantastic season and a second consecutive district title. All season long the players lived up to our team motto and proudly represented Marine City High School. Well done ladies! Nil Satis Nisi Optimum!

  • 6/3 Soccer District Final: MCHS 6 - 1 Cros-Lex In the district final for girls soccer, Marine City defeated Croswell-Lexington by the score of 6-1. The scoring was provided by Bailee Gunderson (2 goals, 1 assist), Tori Goulette (2 goals), Emilie Andrews (1 goal), and Addie Spencer (1 goal). Assists were provided by Taelor Frank (2), Lydian Fowler, and Karleigh Mistretta.The Mariners advance to the Regional Semi-Final on Tuesday night against Flint Powers.

  • 6/2 Soccer District Semi-Final: MCHS 2 - 0 Richmond In the second round of district play, Marine City defeated Richmond by the score of 2-0. Scoring for the Mariners were Taelor Frank on an assist from her twin Sydnee and Lauren Tomasek on a feed from Jensen Houston. Marine City will play for the district title on Friday night at 6pm at Cros-Lex vs Cros-Lex.

  • 5/31 Soccer Districts: MCHS 8 - 0 Capac In the first round of district play, Marine City defeated Capac by the score of 8-0. Earning the shutout was goalkeeper Ashlee Beattie. Scoring for the Mariners were: Addie Spencer (3 goals, 1 assist), Bailee Gunderson (2 goals, 2 assists), Lydia Fowler (1 goal, 4 assists), Taelor Frank (1 goal), and Carahgan Spencer (1 goal). The Mariners will play Richmond at 3:30 on Thursday at East China Stadium.

  • 5/27 Girls Track: Marysville Meet of Champions This was a fantastic way to end the regular season! All of the girls that came performed at their top and we had many top finishes. You have to "qualify" and be invited to attend this meet from all over St Clair and Sanilac Counties. We had 14 qualifiers and a ton of top ten finishes!Hannah Coverdill was the hero of the meet winning all three of her individual events (100, 100H, and 300H). She also tied the meet record in the 100H (15.1) and her name will be recorded as a record holder in the upcoming.   • Student-Athlete of the Week Congratulations to Senior Mike Heck of the Varsity Baseball Team, the Mariner Student-Athlete of the Week!!!Academic:Mike has done a nice job in the classroom and is a pleasure to be around. His growth over the his time at MCHS is a credit to him, his family, and the staff. Mike has a great outlook on things and will go on to be successful.Athletic:Mike has done an incredible job overcoming a leg injury he sustained at the beginning of the football season to have a very productive baseball season. Currently Mike has 4 HR's and is batting around .300. Mike has also taken on a leadership role and always gives maximum effort.
