The Math Club is accepting donations for gift cards for Dariontae Richardson. If you would like to donate your spare change, please come by Mr. Shugart’s room, #216 starting Tuesday, December 11th, and put your money in Elvis – the money catcher! The money will be used for Dariontae’s family that visits him in the hospital, paying for gas, food, etc. You may also bring by a gift for Dariontae if you would like to. The Math Club thanks you in advance for your support in this, as we wish Dariontae a speedy recovery.

Any current track athlete or any athlete that plans to be on the track team, needs to see Coach Luker or Coach Godwin for a fundraiser. There will be track conditioning Tuesday and Thursday, weather permitting!

Attention all seniors, if you are not done with your FAFSA application, don't forget about our Parent FAFSA Night this Thursday, December 6, from 6-7 in the library. We will have FAFSA specialists from Achieve Escambia to help you and your parents with the application.

Attention all students taking dual enrollment: check your schedule in Spyglass to make sure you have been placed in the correct classes. Today is the last day for any registration or drop/add. Attention all seniors, if you have not applied for your Federal Student Aid ID, then go the the senior Google Classroom and follow instructions to get your FSA ID. Do so today; it takes 5 minutes to apply. This Tuesday during first period, you will be going to the cafeteria to complete your FAFSA application with the help of FAFSA specialists. You must have your FSA ID to complete your FAFSA application.

Girl's Weightlifting Team will host Escambia FL today at 4:00. Come out and support your Strong Chiefs! Please release the girls at 3.

We will be having our 2nd blood drive on December 3. Sign up sheets are at the attendance window. All donors receive a fleece blanket. You must be at least 17 years old and weigh at least 110 lbs. to donate.

Wednesday (10/24) is our SAT and PSAT testing day. 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students, make sure you know where you are testing. Rosters with room assignments have been posted at the lunch entrance and hallways C and D. Seniors who are not taking the SAT may check in late and must arrive at school by 11:25. Those checking in late are responsible for their own transportation. Seniors coming on the bus should report to the gym.

Any athlete interested in track, conditioning will begin this Wednesday until 4:20. If you are NOT in a sport or your sport does not condition or practice on Wednesday, you are to be in attendance.

Track will begin an estimating fundraiser this Tuesday. See a track athlete at lunch or Coach Luker to estimate how many bugs and kisses are in the jar for .50 a guess to win the whole jar!!

Students in FBLA and students in Mrs. White' DCT Class: Pie orders are due tomorrow, October 19th.

Juniors and seniors, our Junior/Senior Parent Night is scheduled for Thursday of next week, October 25, at 6 p.m. The meeting will cover information about graduation requirements, scholarship opportunities, searching for colleges, and college applications. We will also have a FAFSA specialist present at the meeting to talk about federal student aid and answer your questions. Your first period teacher has invitation letters for you to take home to your parents.

Make sure that you are in your assigned areas for the correct times. We need to make sure that no students are left unattended.

Students to Gym

Students go to the gym right after lunch.

Every Student and sponsor/coach/teacher/staff participating in the Parade should be in the

There will be someone in the gym to direct you to the correct bus to board; however, Mrs. T. Johnson has included that information in her email to all.

FFA Lunches

Students: At the beginning of your lunch, whether you purchased a lunch ahead of time or you want to purchase an FFA lunch, you may go to the Football Concession Stand and get your lunch. Return to the lunchroom.

Faculty, Staff, Subs

FFA BBQ lunches will start being available at 10:00 a.m., if you want to go and get a lunch, ahead of first lunch, starting at 10:29 today.

Any girl interested in participating in flag football, please see Coach Smith during your lunch. She will be located in the cafeteria the last ten minutes of all lunches.

All senior boys interested in running for homecoming king must sign up in the front office with Mrs. Sheila Holland. They must collect funds during homecoming week and turn them into Mrs. Theresa Johnson at the end of each day. The student with the most money collected at the end of the week wins homecoming king. Each contestant should decorate their own money jug.

The cheerleaders will be selling advance homecoming dance tickets during all three lunches beginning tomorrow for $10.00 each. The tickets will be sold until Friday, September 28, 2018, last lunch. The price at the door will be $15.00 each.

This year's Voice of Democracy Essay topic has been released. The topic is "Why My Vote Matters." Any high school student may enter with chances for cash prizes. All information is available at www.vfw.org for more an application and rules. The typed essay and application is due to Ms. Baggett by Oct. 15. If you are a top winner, you will then record your speech onto audio.

Mrs. White is taking orders for Senior Shirts now through Wednesday, August 29th. Pick up an order form in lunch or from Mrs. White. Pictures will be available on CCTV and on display in the lunch room. Both short sleeve and long sleeve designs will be printed on a comfort color shirts. Short sleeve is $20 and long sleeve is $25.
