On April 18-19, 2014, the Laboratory for Aggregate Economics and Finance will hold the 25th anniversary conference of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) Microeconomics and Macroeconomics Perspectives on the Aggregate Labor Market. The conference brings together leading economists to present and discuss issues involving various aspects of labor markets. Product markets, financial markets and institutional structure can have profound impacts on the functioning of the labor market. The focus on the conference is on models that help us understand key features of the data and how to better implement policy.
