Bridge Creek IMW

In Bridge Creek, restoration activities that encourage beaver to build on stable structures to aggrade the stream bottom is being used to reconnect the stream to its historic floodplain.  We begun implementation of activities in an experimental fashion that will produces pulses of effects that should maximize contrasts to pick up signals initiated by restoration.  By using multiple methods, from standard tape and rod protocols to high resolution DEMs, to evaluate physical changes, we expect to be able to accurately document changes to Bridge Creek as a result of the restoration activities in the watershed.  In addition, we are evaluting changes in density, growth, and survival of O. mykiss within this same experimental and monitoring framework.
