                                                                                       - From Wiktionary

‘They want something that is cheap and cheerful that does the job.’

- Example from Oxford Dictionary

Cheaper alternatives to restore streams to provide ecological benefits are essential if we expect to have an impact to the large number of stream miles that are degraded with the limited funds available to reverse this.  We are developing and implementing cheap and cheerful restoration approaches that can be implemented over large distances for the cost of a couple of highly engineered structures.  In this way, we expect and have demonstrated that this approach can have a much greater response to fish populations and their habitat.
