State-Affiliated Programs and/or Required Assessments

The primary purpose is to promote digital citizenship and cybersafety education for all East Central ISD students, educators, and academic community, as well as ensure accountability for eRate funding and Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) compliance. 

Please be aware that to ensure continuity of Texas Education Agency (TEA) funding, all classroom teachers and campuses are required to complete the Classroom and Campus STaR Charts. 





Special Programs

BYOT - Bring Your Own Technology - Scheduled for Spring 2012
The ECISD BYOT seeks to empower students and educators to take advantage of all the technology resources they have at their disposal. The initiative is currently in planning mode, beginning at the high school first and adding other campuses as the District's network infrastructure is updated per a multi-year timeline.

Campus Technology Coordinators provide a wealth of services, ranging from technical triage to instructional support. 

Campus webmasters are at the heart of customer-service friendly communication efforts, not only for ECISD students, staff, and community but the World as well. Find out more as well as access supportive resources.

Campus Technology Cohort Program - Scheduled for Spring 2012 pending funding availability.
During the Campus Technology Cohort Program, participants will complete a paced, 100% online course. This course will help develop understanding of integrated technology and provide participants with a genuine online learning experience. Participants will receive technology for participating. Scheduled for Spring, 2012 pending funding availability.

This initiative addresses implementation of an instructional program centered on project-based learning with an iPad. Find out more about it.

EasyTech, a proven, Web-delivered K-8 technology literacy curriculum, easily and effectively integrates technology into Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies. Engaging and interactive, EasyTech improves student learning outcomes in core curriculum subjects while it provides students with the skills they need for success in the 21st Century.
