Master Schedule Vocabulary

Integrated Course

Two or more courses taught at the same time.  Students receive the same grade on transcripts for each course.  

Singleton Course

A course taught by itself but with the possibility of “cross-curricular” integration with other courses.

Online Course

A course taught over 80% online with students responding to work through Echo.  Teachers will conduct workshops and assessment within the guidelines of another course.

Blended Course

Course that are 51% or more online.  At Compass Academy we will consider many courses as blended because of the online component of Echo.

Transcript Course Name

The name of the course that will be on the students transcript.  This will match up with the comprehensive high schools (I.F., Skyline).

Echo Course Name

The name of the course that will appear in Echo and in conversation at Compass Academy.  This is especially noted for integrated courses.
