Welcome to 8th Grade Ancient and Medieval History
This course will focus on Ancient Egypt, China and Rome as well as the Middle Ages in Europe and the Islamic World.
We will explore essential questions that guide our investigation of these
cultures throughout the year including:
How does political history intersect with the arts?
Who gets to tell the stories that make up history?
How can we rely on resources or determine them unreliable?
How can we determine what life was like in a particular time and place?
How has the ancient world influenced the modern world?
