The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department does not maintain remote application servers for student use. Instead, the following options are available.
Download a copy from TERPware. Any software that is available for free through a campus license agreement can be downloaded from this site.
Purchase a copy. This can be expensive depending on what software you want to get. Some software is available through the campus software licensing group for a discounted price. Much of this software can be picked up from the technology store on campus.
Use the Virtual Computer Lab (VCL). The Engineering IT group has created a resource for students to run the applications for their courses remotely. The VCL includes software for all of the engineering departments. A plug-in is required for this to work. Please read the directions on the VCL site carefully before logging on.
Request an installation. Please ask the Help desk for information regarding installation conditions and requirements for the software that you need. This option is not available for undergraduate students.
Please also note that the software required for undergraduate courses are installed on the computer labs in the A.V. Williams building. If there are any problems with the software or equipment in one of the labs, please let the Help Desk know.

If you feel that there is software missing from the labs that you need for your class work, please speak with your professor or teaching assistant. Requests for software installations in the labs should be made directly by the person(s) responsible for teaching the course.
