For Nursery Parents

Please read below for information regarding Baby Care Rooms, Nursery Room A, and Nursery Room B. 

Baby Care Rooms
  • Room 133 and Room 140 are Baby Care Rooms for parents to nurse or care for babies. 
  • Please read the posted directions for how to lock and unlock the doors. 
  • Be sure to leave the room unlocked when you are done.

Canaan’s Nursery Room A Guidelines:
Nursery Room A (room 103) welcomes children from age 6 months to 18 months. 

Check In/Out Procedures:

1.    Complete the sign in sheet and pick up a pager.

2.    Leave a diaper bag with diapers (if not potty trained) and any drinking bottles – be sure to mark all items with your child’s name.

3.    Inform babysitters of any special instructions regarding your child.

4.    Upon pick up – please complete the sign out sheet and return pager.

Please note the following:

·      Nursery Room A is staffed with 1 babysitter from 10am to 12:30pm.

·      Solid baby foods will not be fed to babies.

·      Please inform babysitters if your child has any food allergies.  Snacks (cheerios, raisins, or goldfish) and water will be served to children who are old enough.  If you do not want your child to eat the church snacks, please inform babysitter.

·      Parents will be paged if a child is still inconsolable after 10 minutes. 

·      No sick children in the nursery!  Keep your child at home to rest if any of these symptoms are present: 

o   Fever of 100 or higher

o   Vomiting or diarrhea

o   Earache

o   Stuffy nose/cough with yellow/green discharge that is continual or reappearing

o   Lethargic behavior which may be a key indication of not feeling well

Canaan’s Nursery Room B Guidelines:

Nursery Room B (room 102) welcomes children age 18 months to 36 months. 

Check In/Out Procedures:

1.    Sign in/out your child on the clipboard.

2.    Note any allergies or special instructions.

3.    Leave a cell phone number in case we need to reach you (no pager system for this room).  Be sure to turn your cell phone on vibrate.

4.    Leave marked diaper bag or marked essential items for your child.

Please note the following:

·      Nursery Room B is staffed with 2 babysitters from 10am to 12:30pm.

·      Nursery Room B is a “Children Only” room with two babysitters caring for children.  Capacity for this room is 12 children.  Each worship service has a cry room if Nursery Room B is full or if your child is having a difficult time being away from you. 

·      Please inform babysitters if your child has any food allergies.

·      Snacks (cheerios, raisins, or goldfish) and water will be served to children.  If you do not want your child to eat the church snacks, please inform babysitter.
