Welcome to 6th Grade! I am so excited to start the school year and look forward to meeting you. My name is Mr. M and I will be your Reading and Language Arts teacher this year. I have many exciting activities planned and cannot wait for the school year to begin. If at any point over the summer you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at zmilkewicz@eastamwell.org and I will be happy to assist you in any way that I can.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Mr. M

Hatchet Projects are Due Monday 4/15. Please see Mr. M with questions or concerns.
Please note that as of Friday, September 7th all homework assignments will be posted on Google Classroom.

Please remember that homework is due on the day that it is due. If the assignment is not submitted in class a ZERO will be factored into your grade. Partial credit will be given for all late assignments.

If you forget your homework, you must complete the "Oops I Forgot Form," have it signed by your parent, and return the form the following day.

All homework assignments should be treated as if they are going to be collected and graded.

It is okay to not understand, but it is never okay to not try! Effort is a must. Remember that I am always here to help when needed.

Did you lose your worksheet or novel questions? Check out Google Classroom. Chances are you will find it there.

Classwork and In-School Activities

Being involved is awesome, please make sure that being involved in extracurricular activities does not take away from your academics. Band, Chorus, and other activities do not excuse you from class work, assignments, projects, etc.

Extra Help

Extra help is available in homeroom at the beginning and end of each day. You may also request extra help during lunch, or before and after school by appointment.

Homework Buddies
Every year, students in homeroom are assigned a "Homework Buddy." Your "Homework Buddy" will be collecting work for you when you are absent. This is very important as it allows your buddy to catch up on their work in the most efficient manner possible. Please make sure you fill out a yellow form for every day that your homework buddy is absent.
