Friday, September 13th is Picture DAY!

Everyone will be taking a school picture and a group class picture.

On Friday, August 30th I sent home a Picture Day

form in your child's Friday Folder. Please fill this out and send it back to class. You can

choose a background for your child.

Your child's picture will be going in the school's yearbook.

If you would like to send an extra pair of clothes for your child to change into after their

picture is taken, you can do so.

Welcome to 2nd Grade
The 2019-2020 School year is here!

This website will be updated weekly with important class announcements, homework assignments, projects, useful links, class photos, and/or forms and documents- all related to things happening in Room 9.

On the first day of school, you are invited into the classroom for a short period to help your child find his/her desk and help them put on a name tag. After that, please say good-bye, as we will start our day together as a class on the carpet.

Be prepared for tired second graders the first week or two. I encourage you to send a healthy snack for recess. Lunch can either be bought at school or brought from home. I will be helping those who buy lunch for the first couple of days to make sure the transition is smooth and easy. Plenty of sleep will be very important! :)

I look forward to meeting you all on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019.

Sincerely,
Mrs. McGehee
