My name is Corey Hatt and I am a math teacher at Doniphan - Trumbull Public School.
I was born in Kearney and have lived all over the state. I have also lived in Hastings, Omaha, Leigh, and am currently in Grand Island with my wife and daughter Jaylee.
I graduated high school in 2005 from Omaha Skutt Catholic. While I was a high school student, I realized that I liked helping other students in their math classes. It was then that I decided I wanted to be a teacher.
I went on to UNK and majored in Secondary Math Education. I graduated in May of 2009 with my degree. Throughout my career, I have spent time teaching at Leigh High School and at Grand Island Senior High.
I am eagerly looking forward to my 6th year at Doniphan-Trumbull and the many possibilities and opportunities that are in my future.
One of my educational philosophies supports the idea of the flipped classroom. Below is a graphic that will nicely explain the theory.
