My name is Victoria Kelley and I am so excited to be your fifth grade math and social studies teacher this year!
My husband, Cary, our two crazy little guys, Hunter (6 months) and Logan (6 years) and I are from the Austin area. This is my second year teaching at DSES. Prior to coming to Dripping Springs, we lived in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for two years. I LOVE calling Texas my home and am so grateful for the opportunity to teach in Dripping Springs!
During our stay in Punta Cana, I taught fifth grade at the Puntacana International School (PCIS), as well as high school English for Cap Cana Heritage School (CCHS). Both schools offered American curriculum, but I did get to practice using my Spanish quite a bit! I am truly blessed to have had such an amazing experience. Prior to leaving the country, I was the fifth grade math and language arts teacher for Neidig Elementary School in the Elgin ISD.
I received my Masters in Education in Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University, Portland. I also have my bachelors degree in Social Science and Education from Ashford University. I am Texas-certified in Elementary Education, EC-6 and 4-8, Special Education, English As A Second Language, Technology Applications, and Journalism.
I am HUGE sports fan - especially football and baseball - and I love to cheer on the Longhorns and my New England Patriots! In my spare time, I enjoy all kinds of crafting - sewing, scrapbooking, jewelry making, cooking, and photography. My husband and I also enjoy SCUBA diving and have made several incredible dives while living in the D.R. I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my friends and family.
I am very excited to be sharing my experience with you! I welcome you to my class and I look forward to having a great year!
