Rehoboth PTSA Minutes

 November 14, 2018

Meeting called to order at 6:30 pm by Susan Bogosian, President

 

Holly Kuchinski and Nancy Breault have asked to change positions on the board.  All in attendance voted unanimously for the change.  Holly is now the Financial Secretary and Nancy the Treasurer.

 

Minutes from October 10th were reviewed, motion to approve by Arlene Miguel, seconded by Karen DeRoche.

 

Principal’s Report:

 

Palmer River – Arlene Miguel: Palmer River collected 654 pairs of socks and the Kindergarten class had their first Halloween parade.  The 3rd grade had their scavenger hunt and all children were encouraged to wear red, white, and blue on Veterans Day.  Spirit week was a lot of fun for all.  Parent teacher conferences are coming up and report cards are going home on December 14th.  A lockdown practice was held November 13th. 

 

Beckwith - Joseph Pirraglia:  Beckwith collected $546.10 in Box Tops.  The lip sync contest was held October 19th, Sara Simon and Rowan Whitaker were the winners.  Drama club and baseball both started in early November.  Beckwith believers club starts November 20th.  The dance was held on November 2nd, the band concert is December 20th, the chorus concert is December 17th.  The book fair was held the week before Thanksgiving.  Parent teacher conferences are being held this month.  The next book club meeting is January 24th, 6:30 at Hillside.  The book will be You Are Not Special
And Other Encouragements by David McCullough, Jr.

 

General discussion:

 

-       The craft fair will be held on November 16th with a preview of the Giving Market.  All students will be given $1.00 by Boosterthon to shop at the market.  The Giving Market starts November 16th at Palmer River and will end at Beckwith on November 30th.
