(7) Google Drive/Docs - Review

Making a connection within the class room, the students will be doing an interview with another student in the class. They will create an artifact that allows them to show what they remember about google docs and allow them to review these skills. They will be creating a Google Doc "My Interview" Poster artifact.

This review unit links to the 4th grade curriculum.



(3) All About Coding
Students will be able to do actual coding using a block-type coding language. Students will be exposed to coding using characters like from star wars and others to help them make a connection. Students will be exposed to some programming terminology such as algorithm.

Students will learn how to gather and organize information from digital sources by paraphrasing and/or summarizing. They will use two-column organizer to collect and gather their facts on an animal. This makes a connection to the 4th grade science curriculum

(4) Google Slides - All About an Animal

Students will be reviewing various skills using Google Slides that they learned from last year. They will be taking the research they gathered from the previous research unit on an animal and showcasing their findings using a Google Slide.

  


(7) End of Year Project
Students will be put into groups of 2-3 and be assigned to a national state park. Their job will be able to research and gather information about the park and collaborate on creating a google slide.

(4) Google Drive/ Collabrify Flipbook - Creating Animated Gif file

Students will be introduced with Collabrify Flipbook.  With this program, students will learn how to create animated Gif files and then insert the animated gif within their Google Slide or doc file.
