Bullies Aren't Scary to debut in Australia

Undisputed World Welterweight Boxing Champion and International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee Kostya Tszyu does not tolerate bullying.  The book he co-authored with Dustin Warburton tackles the subject and shows how a bit of empowerment can deflate a bully.  The book is 32 pages of full color illustrations by Dan Monroe and is scheduled to debut at the Supanova Pop Culture Event in Melbourne, Australia, April 12, 13, 14, 2013.

Dennis the Wild Bull

On February 02, 2013 the book "Dennis the Wild Bull" made it's official debut at Anderson's Bookshop, in Naperville, IL.  The book was written by NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman with Dustin Warburton.  Dan Monroe illustrated and designed the book and characters.  Dan travelled to the bookshop and sat alongside Dennis Rodman as over 300 Rodman fans showed up to purchase the book and have it signed.  The printed book can be purchased at dennisrodman.com and an eBook is available at barnesandnoble.com

On February 18, 2013 Dennis Rodman appeared on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to talk about "Dennis the Wild Bull."

An artist unbound

Dan Monroe is an artist who does not get pigeon-holed into one set genre, style, or medium.  He has produced fine art for gallery sale and exhibition, illustrated children's books, pencilled comics, taught art class in numerous venues, does character and book design, and has a cat named Thor.  Having started out as a traditional artist working in graphite, charcoal, watercolor, oils, airbrush, ink, pen and ink, and even clay sculpture Dan saw the benefit of the addition of digital art to his tool chest.  Several years ago when he purchased his first computer and small digital pad, Dan sat in front of the computer and started to play around with it.  It was not long before he was creating digital art and providing illustrations for a variety of online publications including Jim Baen's Universe, Walkabout Press, BeWrite Books, and Walker Sci-Fi.  Currently Dan works on a large variety of projects both digital and traditional.
