6th Grade‎ > ‎

Mrs Thompson (Math)

Welcome to my page, and welcome to 6th grade math! This is my first year teaching at Merrill Middle school and my 3rd year in education. I originally earned my bachelors degree in Marketing from the University of Arizona. After working in Advertising for almost 3 years, I decided to make a career change to education. I attended Seattle Pacific University, earning my Masters in Teaching Math and Science. I love being a teacher and helping students grasp mathematical concepts. I am also an artist and I love bringing creativity to my classroom and using it to help my students understand and appreciate math! I got married last summer (2016) and bought a house this summer! My husband and I love traveling and spending time with family, friends, and our new kitten Winston.
