Introduction and Purpose

The Birchwood School District is located in Birchwood, Wisconsin. It is the home to the Birchwood Elementary, Middle, and High Schools, the Birchwood Blue Hills Charter School, the Birchwood Public Montessori and the Bobcat Virtual Academy.

The District's mission is the following: Improved communication and updated facilities along with raised academic and behavioral expectations will ensure all students demonstrate life-skills for personal achievement.

The purpose of the technology plan is to describe how the District will meet the information technology needs of our students, staff, and community members. It is also a means to determine how to provide these same people with tools, knowledge and skills necessary for the 21st Century.


This plan is a work in progress and will change as our needs change related to information technology.



Demographics and Community Information


Birchwood is a village in Washburn CountyWisconsin. The population was 442 at the 2010 census. The village is located within the Town of Birchwood.  Enrollment for the 2014-2015 is reported as 337 students for the district.
