Professional Development Classes

Dear Staff,

Due to the high demand on technology needs, District 31 is now providing you with the opportunity to participate in a variety of "in house" professional development classes. Throughout the school year, you will be notified of the topic of choice (via email); and you will be able to sign up for a time most convenient for you on Google Docs. Again, these are not mandatory to attend, but I highly encourage you to sign up if you are unfamiliar with, need help on, or want to explore the given topic. The sessions will range from basic skills, specific programs, to Web 2.0 subjects. My goal is to have at least 2 classes a month.

Along with the tech topic, there will be a link on every email to a Sticky Note Canvas. On this canvas, you have the opportunity to write down websites, questions, topic ideas, etc. for future professional development classes that you may come across throughout the year. I hope these will help relieve some of the stress of technology use and possibly promote the advancement of technology within the district. I look forward to hearing your ideas and I hope to see you in some of the sessions.

If you just so happen to miss a class that you would like more information on you are free to email your tech team or you can click on the subpages below for any handouts, links, or information for each of the classes.
