      STEM EXPO 2019 coming soon!
                    March 2, 2019
STEM EXPO will showcase the talents of our
District 102 Kindergarten-6th grade students in the areas of
science, technology, engineering and creative making.

Have you tried an interesting experiment at home? 
Have you invented something new?
Have you found a solution to a problem?
Have you used technology to create something awesome?
Have you explored or learned about a science topic or idea?

Bring it to EXPO and share it with your teachers, friends and neighbors!

Students can choose from one of the four project categories and create a STEM project that will dazzle and amaze others while learning about a scientific concept.  Projects can be displayed in a creative manner within a three-foot table space.  

Who:      All students grades K-6
When:    Saturday, March 2
        9:00 AM- Noon

       Set-up is Friday, March 1st 
        5:00PM to 6:30 PM

Where:  Forest Road School Gymnasium  
               901 N Forest Road, LaGrange Park  

Cost:    No cost to participate

 Have fun and be creative as you prepare your
           Science Experiment, 
           Technology Project
           Engineering Design, or 
           Maker Project

All exhibitors will receive a participation award and a STEM EXPO t-shirt.  Exhibits will not be judged; exhibitors will be assigned a 1/2 hour time period when they will be required to be at their table to answer questions and explain their project to an EXPO Official.

Please Note:  
  • No experiments will be accepted that could be a potential fire risk.  No open flames will be allowed during EXPO 2019. 
  • Pictures on your display board or a video may be used to show the process instead.
  • If you need electricity for your project, please bring your own extension cord.
  • Register by Feb. 15th to guarantee your t-shirt size.
