The School Improvement work at Deer Isle-Stonington High School is informed by and continually judged against "best practice" as defined by educational research in the areas of school improvement, secondary school redesign, and teaching and learning.  Participation in voluntary partnerships and associations focused on supporting school improvement and sharing best practice also support and inform school improvement efforts at DISHS.
