5th Grade:

TUESDAY 2/12: NO SCHOOL DUE TO WEATHER

WEDNESDAY 2/13:  The following items were worked on during class today and should be finished by the time you come to class tomorrow:
(1) Complete Section 2 Guided Reading (provide text evidence when possible)
(2) Watch the video on population that was posted on classroom and complete the 3-2-1 that goes along with the video
(3) if you finish the above items, you can go ahead and read chapter 4, section 2

THURSDAY 2/14: 

FRIDAY 2/15: NO HOMEWORK....HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND

LAST WEEK........

TUESDAY 2/5: We will continue to work on the Culture Collage tomorrow in Class.  So far I am planning on having them due on Thursday.  Keep up the good work.  

WEDNESDAY 2/6:  Culture Collage: You will be presenting these to your classmates tomorrow in class.  They need to be finished by the time you come to class tomorrow.  

THURSDAY 2/7: Complete the flip notes packet for Chapter 4, you can access the slides on my webpage under "5th Notes".  The packet should be completed by Tuesday 2/12.  

FRIDAY 2/8: Read pages 86-90 in the textbook and complete ALL of the flip notes in the packet.  I will be checking them at the beginning of class on Tuesday.  




6th Grade:

TUESDAY 2/12: NO SCHOOL DUE TO WEATHER

WEDNESDAY 2/13:  The following items were worked on during centers today and should be completed when you come to class tomorrow:
(1) Watch the silk road video on classroom and complete the 5-4-3-2-1 worksheet that goes along with it
(2) Silk Road Reading and comprehension questions, provide text evidence when possible

THURSDAY 2/14: (1) In your journal, write an example of how you would use the 5 Relationships in Confucianism in your everyday life.  
(2) Research and select 1 other quote, teaching, philosophy or idea that Confucius had and tell how you would apply it to your life.  

FRIDAY 2/15: 

LAST WEEK........
TUESDAY 2/5: Complete the following items before you come to class tomorrow:
(1) The Qin activities in the packet....complete both of the Qin readings and questions
(2) 20.1 Guided Reading.....provide text evidence for the answers when possible

WEDNESDAY 2/6:  You should have completed the packet on Ancient China and the reading and questions for the "Far East" before you come to class tomorrow.  

THURSDAY 2/7: 

FRIDAY 2/8: You should have completed the Guided Reading for Chapter 25, Section 4 and the Confucianism Reading and Questions with annotations activities that you worked on during class.  They are both due at the beginning of class on Tuesday.  

7th Grade:

TUESDAY 2/12: NO SCHOOL DUE TO WEATHER

TUESDAY 2/5: Complete the Interactive Notebook activity for the Legislative Checks on the other two branches of government.  This information can be found in your textbook.  You will glue it into your interactive notebook tomorrow at the beginning of class.  

WEDNESDAY 2/6:  Complete the How A Bill Becomes A Law Organizer before you come to class tomorrow.  I will be checking this for a grade.  Also, DO NOT FORGET THAT YOU WILL BE TAKING YOUR LEGISLATIVE BRANCH VOCABULARY ASSESSMENT TOMORROW.....FINALLY

THURSDAY 2/7: Complete the reading and the questions in the packet that was handed out today at the end of clas.  You only need to complete the second reading and set of questions, "America Enters WW1"

FRIDAY 2/8: Conduct a little bit of research to find out the following:
(1) What was the Treaty of Versailles?
(2) What did it do?
(3) Who did it punish?
Write down some brief notes/points on what you find.
