Biography: Meghan Eldred-Woolsey received her Bachelors of Music Education and Masters in Choral Conducting from Michigan State University and is in her nineteenth year of teaching choir at DeWitt High School. Under her direction, DeWitt choirs have been selected to perform at the MSVMA Choral Hour at the Michigan Music Conference, the ACDA Michigan Fall Conference, the Michigan Youth Arts Festival, and the MSVMA All-State Festival as Choir of the Year. She has lead choir tours in Orlando, Memphis, Nashville, Toronto, and New York City. In 2020, she was chosen to direct the TTBB State Honors Choir.
In addition to directing the DHS musicals, Meghan is an avid director and performer in the Lansing Theatre Community and received the 2017 Greg Reuter Award for Excellence in Musical Theatre Education.
Meghan is the artistic director for Sistrum, Lansing Women’s Chorus, a social justice chorus, and is a member of Michigan’s first professional women’s chorus, Mirabai, directed by Dr. Sandra Snow, as well as the professional mixed chorus, Beyond, directed by Dr. Brandon Johnson. She lives in DeWitt with her husband, Adam, and children, Lottie, RJ, and Iris.
