Welcome to Music Class!
Greetings, and welcome back! My name is Mr. Bryce Muenchow
(don't worry about trying to pronounce it - I answer to Mr. M as well!)
and I am the brand new music teacher for the 2015-2016 school year!

I am very excited to get to know your students and enrich their lives with music.
In my classroom we will: sing, play instruments, move to the music, dance,
and be "music detectives" by using critical thinking skills and discovery learning
to open our minds to new musical concepts and genres.

If ever you have any questions, comments, or concerns
about your student's progress and/or participation in my classroom,
please don't hesitate to contact me in one of the following ways:

By Phone

Thank you! I look forward to a fun year full of learning with your student.

About Me
I graduated from Luther College in May of 2015, earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music, with minors in K-12 Education and Theater. While in college, I sang as a member of three choirs: Norsemen (a first-year male ensemble) under the direction of Dr. Tim Peter, Cathedral Choir (a primarily sophomore ensemble) under the direction of Dr. Sandra Peter, and Collegiate Chorale (a junior and senior level ensemble) under the direction of Dr. Andrew Last. I also participated in the theater department, acting in three shows (Much Ado About Nothing, Arcadia, and a student constructed show inspired by La Dispute).

As a lifelong learner, I continue to further my education by participating in seminars/workshops. Most recently, I attended workshops led by the renowned Dr. Carole Krueger (Developing the Independent Musician) and American Eurythmics Society co-founder Dr. Kathy Thomsen (Dalcroze Eurythmics in the Elementary Classroom). With each workshop, I learn new and exciting activities and methodologies for the classroom which, along with technology, further enhance your student's experience.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and playing one of many instruments (guitar, bass, drums, piano, or saxophone).

Me, my wife, our dog, and our soon-to-be born baby boy or girl reside across the mighty Mississippi and the scary (to some) Lansing Bridge in Decorah, Iowa. However, don't let the Iowa residence fool you. I am a die-hard Packers fan, having grown up in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
