ANNUAL PUMPKIN RUN
All students in 3rd-5th grade, participate in our Annual 1 Mile Pumpkin Fun Run, during their physical education class. T-shirts,
Award Certificates and Ribbons were handed out to the top runners in each class. All the students did a great job and successfully completed their first mile of the school year.
PUMPKIN RUN WINNERS
The Pumpkin Run was also the Kick Off to our Running Club, which received a grant worth $3,600, this year from the organization, Marathon Kids. The grant provides all students who complete a marathon throughout the course of the school year, before school, at recess, or during lunch, a Nike Marathon Kids 26.2 Mile T-shirt. The t-shirt shows that they have completed the number of miles it would take to run a marathon.
Students who chose to participate in the Mile club will receive Mile Club Cards to track their total miles completed. In addition to t-shirts, students can earn tokens for every mile they complete, as an incentive and reward. Coach Reynolds will also have several opportunities for students who are in the Mile Club, to participate in local 5k running events offered in our community, throughout the year.
