Tape the Principal to the Wall Fundraiser
The school raised money by selling strips of tape to students. Students placed their strips of tape across Mr. Martinez and taped him to the outer wall of the Multipurpose Room. It took rolls and rolls of tape to successfully tape him to the wall.
The students had a great time participating in this fundraisers.
Holidays provide a great opportunity to keep our students physically active. Students participated in two school wide physical activity events before spring break. They had fun on Lucky's Coin Quest, running around the school searching for green coins left by Lucky the Leprechaun, on St. Patrick's Day. Students also had fun participating in this year's Annual Roosevelt Eggercise Hunt, where students searched the campus to find hidden Easter Eggs filled with not candy, but exercises. Students completed their exercise to collect prizes.
☘ A visit from Lucky the Leprechaun ☘
The 2nd graders were ready for Lucky's visit this year. They tried to capture the tricky little leprechaun with their leprechaun traps ☘ set up by the computer lab. Lucky managed to escape all the creative traps, however he wasn't so lucky when he dropped some of his coins as he ran across the playground on St. Patrick's Day.☘ Students searched for Lucky's coins throughout the day and exchanged them for prizes that Lucky left for them. ☘ Students also enjoyed Shamrock shaped chicken strips in the cafeteria for lunch. Although we did not catch Lucky the Leprechaun☘ this year,
the students had a good time finding evidence of his visit to Roosevelt. ☘
