Alliance for a Healthier Generation
Healthy Schools Program

Roosevelt's Journey on the Road to Gold

Roosevelt has been a member of the Alliance for a Healthier Generation's, Healthy Schools Program since 2012. We have received both Bronze and Silver level recognition from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. The program focuses on creating policies and developing programs to develop a healthy school community. Nutritious foods, physical activity, health and nutrition is the norm at Roosevelt. Encouraging healthy, active lifestyles is embedded in our daily routines.

We are proud to announce that Roosevelt has earned

Gold Level Recognition

for the

2015-2016 School Year!!!

We are officially one of the top Healthy School's across the nation, by developing a quality Health, Nutrition, and Physical Activity Program for the students, staff, and Roosevelt Community, based on the standards set by the Alliance for A Healthy Generation.

Students and staff celebrated this accomplishment at an assembly on the last day of school, which included a video of some activities and programs offered throughout the year,  to encourage our students to develop good habits for a healthy future. Coach Reynolds will be representing Roosevelt  at a special ceremony, by the Alliance for A Healthier Generation in Washington D.C. in the fall. Gold level school representatives are invited to a special dinner with First Lady, Michelle Obama.

A Healthier Roosevelt

Thank you to the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, Nutrition Services,  Roosevelt Wellness Committee, Student Council, Staff Members, and Mr. Martinez for all your hard work in making changes to build a
Healthy School Climate
for all students and the Roosevelt Community.
