Equus will have a general information meeting Thursday,  Sept. 14!

  • Do you want to be on the student editorial board, which will make content decisions?

  • Do you want to help design the magazine, assist in production, and promote sales?

  • Do you have ideas and opinions you would like to share?

  • Do you want to know more about submitting work?

  • Are you just curious?

Equus is accepting submissions for Semester 1 publication

   All submissions in google docs, shared with Ms. Ode, ode@desales.co

    Include "Equus submission" in message option


  • Poetry

    • traditional, free-verse, experimental, prose poem


  • Non-fiction

    • personal, literary, or argumentative essay; expository essay of student interest or unusual topic; chapter from a longer work

    • Creative non-fiction


  • Fiction

    • short narrative, character sketch, or chapter from a longer work

    • short story, character sketch, novel chapter


  • Drama

    • original monologue, short one-act play, or excerpt of a longer play


  • Visual art

    • submitted as jpeg or tiff inserted in a google doc,

    • OR bring it to Mrs. Aumiller, and she will take a great picture!
