For Teachers

The IMC is a treasure trove of lesson and project help items.  From books to scale models, puppets to videos, the IMC can help bring it all to life for your class.  We have video/audio recording equipment that can be borrowed for classroom use.   Numerous science kits are available such as electro-magnetic, molecule building and scale models of the human body, the human ear and many other models.  At the IMC, there are cooking kits (ie. bread, rice, pasta or soup).  Local Indian tribes have donated educational items and the IMC has local history items and information for classroom use.

Here are a few of the things we offer:

Destiny Library Manager
Destiny Library Manager combines library circulation, catalogin
g, searching, reporting, and management into one centrally installed school library software system. Students and faculty can access the system through any workstation with a supported web browser, through the district’s network and the Internet. Destiny promotes greater student utilization of library resources. Students and staff will enjoy the familiarity of the browser-based system and the ability to access a wide variety of library resources and content wherever they are—in the classroom, at home or wherever an Internet connection is available.

Destiny Library Software is an exciting resource for teachers, students and parents to use. Here is a list of just some of the things you have access to:

• Your student’s school library catalog as well as other schools in the district.

• Websites approved specifically for your student’s grade and interest levels.

• Websites and school materials tied to specific state standards your student is studying.
